THE STORIES ABOUT CULTURAL EXCHANGE BETWEEN FOREIGN COUNTRIES AND KYUSHU

In Kyushu, which is near the Asian continent, there has been a lot of interaction with the countries of that continent, including the coming and going of Japanese envoys to the Sui Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty and of Joseon missions to Japan. The introduction of advanced culture through this interaction was central to the development and prosperity of Japan. A trip spent tracing the paths of our predecessors who crossed the stormy Sea of Japan to become bridges between the continent and Japan is a deeply moving experience.
