Japanese Filming Locations that are Famous Overseas

Saga Prefecture began proactively working in 2013 to attract Thai filmmakers to film dramas and movies there. As a result, the movie "Timeline" and the LINE TV drama "Stay" were filmed in the prefecture, and by 2017, seven movies and dramas had been shot in Saga.
Travel products that feature tours the filming locations were planned to target people who watched these works and sample itineraries for individual travelers were introduced to the Thai media. These and other efforts led to many Thai people visiting Saga Prefecture.

Yutoku Inari Shrine

This shrine was the main filming location for the movie “Timeline,” which is set in Saga Prefecture.
The movie was popular, ranking fifth in box office revenue among Thai films in 2014, and many Thai tourists now visit the shrine.
