Immersed in Japanese Manga

Kitakyushu City has produced many celebrated manga artists including Matsumoto Reiji, Watase Seizo and Hojo Tsukasa. The Kitakyushu Manga Museum collects and preserves a wide variety of manga creations and related materials, mainly those of manga artists connected to Kitakyushu. It is passing on to the next generation information about the appeal of manga and its characteristics.

Kitakyushu Manga Museum

This museum has a section for special exhibitions related to manga artists with a connection to Kitakyushu, a manga browsing section, a manga classroom, a socializing space and more.
