National Highway Route 208 Ariake Sea Coastal Road

The AriakeSea Coastal Road is composed of regional transportation base such as Mike Harbor and Kyushu Saga International Airport and regional high-standard highway which connects the cities along AriakeSea Coast. Its purpose is to ease traffic congestions and secure road safety along Route 208.

On September 16, 2017, the 4.5 km road between TokumasuIC and YanagawaNish IC were opened to traffic. Four cities of Fukuoka, OmutaCity, Miyama City, YanagawaCity, and Okawa City, which were linked by general road, are now directly connected by expressway.

Therefore, approximately 80% of Fukuoka road which is 23.8 km is opened to traffic with temporary 2 lanes.
